Welcome to Care to Learn for Advisers and Providers

The aim of Care to Learn is to give financial support to teenage parents (including dads) who want to continue their education or training and need help with the cost of their childcare.

Who can get help?

A young parent can get help with their childcare if they are:

  • aged under 20 years;
  • on a course that they started before they were 20;
  • on a course that receives some public funding;
  • at a college, school or other course or
  • on a work based learning programme (non-employed status)

Note: If parents want to apply for Childcare support for courses that begin after they are 20, they should:-

contact their local college or learn direct for courses in colleges www.learndirect.co.uk. Telephone: 0800 100 900; or

Contact the Care to Learn team for courses in school 6th forms or 6th form colleges only on 0800 121 8989.

If you do not have a particular course in mind you should contact learndirect on www.learndirect.co.uk or Telephone: 0800 100 900 or contact the school or college direct.
